FOTNight December Edition

ok so during December I've been using the same products as my
for my day look.. but for nights out like Christmas Parties and clubbing etc I've stuck to the following products i love:

i love using this product for nights out as a primer over my moisturizer and under my foundation.
it's a matte-ifying gel that works wonders on oily skin and really helps my make up stay on all night..
it works immediately after i apply it with my fingers..my skin feels softer and smoother..
i would use it during the day too but since i wear sunscreen and a matte-ifying moisturizer i feel that one more product under my foundation is a bit too much...

as i mentioned in my FOTD November Edition post this is the best foundation for acne prone and acne-scarred skin...but at night i only use it over my problem area as a concealer...you only need the tiniest amount...it is truly amazing

i use this foundation at night time when i know i need my make up to stay on for hours...
there is nothing worse than ending a great night out by going to breakfast at 5 in the morning only to see that your make up has slided off your face...
this also photographs very well...even though it has SPF in it...it doesn't wash me out...maybe because i bought this in the summer when i was a bit darker..
i apply this on top of my concealer with a Sigma 190.
i didn't like this foundation for everyday use because it made my skin even oilier and didn't look that natural in daytime but for a night time look i love it!!

i like using this concealer during the day too but i always use it when photographs will be taken...
no white panda eyes look with this concealer! conceals dark circles in the most natural way possible

i love, love, love, this product!!!! again another product i use during the evening...
it makes my skin look so fresh and flawless..
its gives you a subtle glow without looking greasy or oily...but doesn't get "cakey" either..
for some reason i think it works better with my Estee Lauder Double Wear than it does with my Mac Studio Fix Fluid!!!
for a day look i prefer something more matte-ifying...

THE EYES:

MAC Eyeshadow in Dazzlelight gives me a gorgeous shimmery pearl sheen..Perfect in the tear duct, over cheekbones, under brow... works great as a highlight...but this month i've been using it swept all over the lid with a tiny bit of Givenchy Shadow Show in No 7 Chic Camel in the crease.. this makes the easiest smoky eye ever..perfect with a winged out eyeliner using MAC Fluidline in Blacktrack and a GOSH Eye Liner Brush Slanted Fine  (i prefer this brush to my MAC 266, it's easier to use and is only half the price)...i finish it off with GOSH Eye Liner in Kohl Black in my waterline and 2 coats of L'oreal Voluminous Mascara.

I have been switching up my cheek and lip products but basically this has been my December Nights look...
What was your make up look for the holidays?

MiNi HauL: cLiNiqUe + CaLviN kLeiN

i received a perfume as a present the other day but i wanted to exchange it with a gift set...especially one with a roller ball...because I've always wanted a roller ball..seems so convenient but i can't find any to purchase in the shops!! so i exchanged the single perfume for this Calvin Klein Euphoria Gift Set...my boyfriend helped me pick this one out since he is an expert on fragrances..unlike me...i just get confused and end up with a headache smelling all those different scents....

i am so pleased with this set!! it has a 50 ml eau de parfum spray, a 100ml sensual skin lotion and of course the roller ball!!! this fragrance smells so pretty and fresh to me...terrible description i know..this is what i found when i googled it on line:

Notes:
Pomegranate, Persimmon, Green Notes, Black Orchid, Lotus Blossom, Champaca Flower, Liquid Amber, Mahogany Wood, Black Violet, Cream Accord.

Euphoria is about sexiness, fantasy, and being captivating. Sexy and sensual, euphoria speaks to the woman who has the urge to break free from everyday life - to provocatively be part of an exciting world filled with pleasure, surprise, and temptation. Her fragrance is a contrast between exotic fruits and seductive florals, for a rich, creamy, seductive signature.

that's so funny!!! i really am a woman who has the urge to break free from everyday life!!!! hehehe :)))

i was running out of my eye cream and eye cream samples that i had so i started researching for a new one...
the shop assistant showed me this cooling roller ball (again with the roller balls!!!) that leaves the tiniest amount of serum around your eyes...i thought this was a great deal because by purchasing the the All About Eyes De-Puffing Eye Massage 15 ml you get a All About Eyes Rich 7 ml eye cream, a High Impact Mascara 4 g (which I've mentioned in a  previous post) and a make up bag for free. great deal for only 25 euros i think!!!

I'm already liking this product... i was awake for a full 22 hours on Saturday...went to bed at 5:30 a.m. after a long night of clubbing and i was up a few hours later... i used the eye serum roller ball and i did feel a bit relieved on the eye area... i will use this in my daily routine and give a full review...I'm putting it to the real test: the holiday party season......not that i don't party every week anyway :)

i also picked up a Greenland Coconut Lip Balm because it smelled amazing and fresh...i prefer lip balms to glosses and lipsticks for everyday .....

Samples i received: Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair Eye Synchronized Eye....
and Just Cavalli I LOVE HER fragrance

what are your resent purchases? do you use an eye serum or an eye cream? what is your current fragrance?

FOTD November Edition

ok so November has been a verrryy busy month..meaning during the day i had no time to play around with make up. Basically my daytime look was achieved by using these products:

words cannot express how grateful i am for finding this foundation... i never heard/read a review about it before the lady at the Estee Lauder counter insisted i try it... it is definitely an under-hyped product....
my skin has been very oily and acne prone for the last year or so and i really struggled to cover it up...
I've been using this every single day for the past 2 months since i purchased it and i just don't feel comfortable to change back to my MAC Studio Fix Fluid or even my Estee Lauder Double Wear...this covers up all imperfections for at least 10 hours and it doesn't oxidize at all!... i cant believe i was trying to cover acne with those foundations... if u are interested i would love to do a full review on the Estee Lauder Maximum Cover or any other foundations since i have tried out a ton!

I have a sample size of this concealer for the past year but i only rediscovered it lately..
i like it for a day look because for me it doesn't crease and it lasts longer than my Mac Select Cover Up.
i don't use this at night because i prefer more peachy toned concealers especially if pictures will be taken!

where i live Revlon is not sold as a "drugstore brand". Revlon products are only a little bit cheaper than MAC products so of course you are going to prefer MAC. About 2 months ago the Revlon counter had a 50% sale so i bought a bunch of things to try out and i really love them! Especially this powder... i use it with a Sigma SS150 powder brush to set my make up and to freshen up during lunch. I still get oily around my T-Zone but there's so much a powder can do...

this is a sample size as well ... i actually got it in a magazine months ago...i should have thrown it out by now but i love it too much... it doesn''t give me crazy long lashes like the L'oreal Voluminous does but for a day look its great.

i am actually blond and not a brunette but i thought this color suited me best. very easy way to fill in your brows and looks very natural for a brow pencil. it stays on even with really hot and humid weather.

i love this color on my fair/medium skin because i think it gives you the warmth of a bronzer but without looking too harsh during the day. i dab it on my cheeks with a MAC 129 and then blend! i prefer peach colored blushers to pink colored ones. especially if you are blond like me...blond hair and very pink blush is too barbie for me :)

i know you might think how boring using lip balms instead of lip glosses or lipsticks but here me out!!
by the time i get to work and have my first sip of green tea my lip gloss has disappeared and suddenly my lips are all dry ...but with this lip balm my lips are moisturized for a good 20 minutes before my morning tea and stay moisturized and pouty for hours,,,

this is my daily look. it's basic and takes me less than ten minutes!

what is your everyday make up look?

AtHeNs CoSmEtiCs HauL: Korres. Apitiva. L'Oreal

I repurchased 2 tubes of my favourite mascara (that definitely deserves the hype) L'oreal Voluminous because they don't sell it where i live. Plus it was only 10 euros each (3 euros cheaper than the Athens Duty Free).

I found a great offer in Athens Duty Free...4 full size KORRES products for 60% off. I only spent 23 euros! The package included: Multivitamin Compact Powder Lightweight Matte Finish (shade: MVP2), Ginger & Vitamins Lightweight Foundation SPF10 (shade: LF3), Wild Rose Concealer (shade: WRC3) and Mango Butter Lipstick SPF10 (shade: 12 Frost Pink).

The shop assistant there was kind enough to give me a couple of samples because i told her i wanted to try the KORRES brand for a while now. The samples i got: White Tea Facial Fluid Gel cleanser, Quercetin & Oak Antiageing Antiwrinkle Night Cream and Acacia Milk Conditioner for dry hair.

At the drugstore next to our hotel i bought 3 KORRES 10 ml packs for only 4 euros! i got Pomegranate Facial Scrub and Mask for oily/combination skin and Yogurt Mask for normal/combination skin.

At the drugstore for only 6 euros i also got 4  8ml packets of APIVITA "express beauty deep cleansing mask with green clay"  and 2  10ml packets of APIVITA "anti-oxidant face mask with tomato". If you are not familiar with the APIVITA brand they are also a greek brand like KORRES that believe in natural, pure products. The masks i bought are paraben, silicone, propylene glycol free.

At some point (after i use up all the products i have in my skincare drawer) i only want to use healthy, natural products because my skin is so sensitive and irritated all the time and i hope that will be the answer to all my skin problems. Plus i prefer supporting companies that don't shove a bunch of chemicals, that will eventually harm you, into their products.

If you are interested i will be happy to review any of these products. Have you tried the KORRES or APIVITA brands? What are your thoughts on "natural" cosmetics?
