Bare Faced
for the passed month or so ive truly been obsessed with girls wearing no make up!
its the first time im noticing how beautiful bare skin can actually be ..
dont get me wrong im not giving up on mascara, blush, a bit of bronzer, lip balm and especially eyeshadow for my eyebrows....BUT.. im really starting to hate foundation...
and even eyeshadow on the lids...
im just starting to notice how extremely fake it looks...
unfortunately with all the acne scarring i have left i cant go completely without make up..but i only cover up those areas with concealer and i stopped using powder completely! to be honest it doesnt work anyway..does powder REALLY control your shine? cause it does nothing for me..
right now im focusing on skin care..and the most important thing for me ..DIET..after trying everything else out i know now how important diet is to my skin.. the problem is when you ate whatever you wanted your whole life because you are one of those "lucky" people that eat fatty/sugary food and gain no weight ..you dont stop to think if this is affecting you in another way...
so now im TRYING to follow an anti-inflammatory, anti-candida diet and taking a whole lot of supplements...
im really trying to discipline myself because id really love to walk around with no foundation but with alot of confidence :)
any thoughts? im starting to feel like this no make up look is a new trend...

SuMmEr HaULiN'....
Ive been very good this summer..i promised my self i wouldn't buy any skin care or cosmetics since i have so many unopened products..so i stuck to the necessities..sort of!
......and btw that is my belly button in the mirror hahahah ;)
I had a big event this month so i had to repurchase my favourite foundation Estee Lauder Double Wear Maximum Cover Camouflage Makeup for Face and Body SPF 15 in 2 shades darker since i got so tan..i went from a 03 Light/Medium to a 07 Medium/Deep..!
The sales assistant at the Estee Lauder counter insisted she do my make-up..it was so lovely ... and i got the "guilty consumer" feeling that i also purchased the Estee Lauder Bronze Goddess Soft Duo Bronzer in 03 Amber Bronze Medium...it was more than i wanted to spend on a bronzer...(37 euros)...but with 2 products you got a free goodie bag..and everyone knows I'm a sucker for goodie bags..
Estee Lauder Goodie Bag:
Sumptuous Bold Volume™ Lifting Mascara the SA used this mascara on be and i loved it! but i have a few mascaras to finish before i start using this one.
Advance Night Repair Eye a generous sample..i am currently using this at night..its ok ..no dramatic results so far.
Time Zone Line and Wrinkle Reducing Creme Spf 15 gave this to my mom!
Last month i was wondering around a department store when the Dermaglow SA offered to show me some of their products and give me a few samples...
i tried out the Dermaglow 10% Glycolic Gentle Peel Solution sample she gave me and i was sold..
my skin looked amazing every morning after using this..3 days later i shelled out 60 euros for the full bottle..
unfortunately .. 2 huge cysts popped out of nowhere so i stopped using this product for now..
i really hope im not allergic to glycolic acid :(
..i will start using it once a week to avoid iritation after my skin clears up again.
the sales assistant also gave me a free Dermaglow Sun Protect Spf 45!
Another so-so sunscreen ..will i ever find my Holy Grail SPF??
A friend of mine with similar hair to mine (long, wavy blonde highlights) recommended John Frieda Frizz Ease Curl Around Style Activationg Shampoo. i love it! keeps hair smooth and my waves a lot less frizzy! there was also a 30% off on John Frieda Frizz Ease Hair Serum Extra‑Strength Formula For Coarse/Extremely Frizzy Hair..so i picked it up since i have always wanted to try this. i havent used this yet .. only after my other serum runs out!
My hairdresser recommended Schwarzkopf Repair Rescue Sealed Ends to help with split ends. i wanted to repurchase Loreal Professionnel Tecni.art Spiral Splendour but they didnt carry it any more. These creams both work in similar ways..apply on damp hair and style..i never blow dry my hair .. just wash and braid at night and apply serum to the ends the next morning.
Finally it wouldn't be a haul without a stop at The Body Shop!
i repurchased The Body Shop Banana Conditioner and The Body Shop Aloe Calming Facial Cleanser for Sensitive Skin.. both products i absolutely adore and will buy again and again!!
A new purchase was the The Body Shop Facial Muslin Cloths.
Since i cant try the Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish i thought i would use something similar ..the Aloe Calming Faicial Cleanser and a Muslin cloth! i have to say i loveee it!! The muslin cloth is much more gentle on my skin for daily use than the Rounded Handle Facial Brush.
What do you think of these products?

SeXy 60's...
i think there is nothing sexier than a woman with big voluminous hair, long fluttering eyelashes, thick eyebrows that frame her eyes and a strong winged eyeliner...
it was sexy in the 60's and it's still super sexy now...
you just can't go wrong with the Sex Kitten Look...

FOTD: JaNuArY eDiTiOn
in January i changed my everyday make up routine that i used to have these past months..
the reason was i wanted a much lighter foundation that might have less coverage but at least it wouldn't clog my pores as much after wearing it for 12 straight hours like i usually do....
i searched around in my foundation drawer and re-discovered my ART DECO Mineral Loose Powder.
i used to use this last winter to set my liquid foundation, but this time i tried it on by itself and i was amazed by the coverage..it's definilely medium to full coverage..
gets rid of redness, covers my spots pretty well, does not slide off my face or oxidize, and i don't get as oily as i do with liquid foundation...
don't get me wrong i still <3 my Estee Lauder Maximum Cover Camouflage...but at the end of the day it took forever for me to get it off, so it made me worried that my skin couldn't breath throu ought the day..
this Mineral Loose Powder stayed on all day too but when i'd remove it i could tell i had alot less make up on all day .. another advantage ..your natural skin shines through this make up...no "cake-iness"..i didn't even need blush or bronzer most days!!
my obsession with Mad Men is still going strong so every single day of Janualy i would carefully line my upper lash line and make a little wing with my MAC Fluidline in Blacktrack just like Betty Draper :)
This month over my The Body Shop Vitamin E Lip Care i've been wearing KORRES Mango Butter Sheer Lipstick SPF 10 in Natural Pink just to give my face a pop of colour..
this lipstick is perfect..super moisturizing, doesn't smell or taste funny and has the most natural pinkish shade (just like the name...!!!)
so what make up have you been wearing this January?? Have you tried out these products too?

FOTNight December Edition
ok so during December I've been using the same products as my
for my day look.. but for nights out like Christmas Parties and clubbing etc I've stuck to the following products i love:
i love using this product for nights out as a primer over my moisturizer and under my foundation.
it's a matte-ifying gel that works wonders on oily skin and really helps my make up stay on all night..
it works immediately after i apply it with my fingers..my skin feels softer and smoother..
i would use it during the day too but since i wear sunscreen and a matte-ifying moisturizer i feel that one more product under my foundation is a bit too much...
as i mentioned in my FOTD November Edition post this is the best foundation for acne prone and acne-scarred skin...but at night i only use it over my problem area as a concealer...you only need the tiniest amount...it is truly amazing
i use this foundation at night time when i know i need my make up to stay on for hours...
there is nothing worse than ending a great night out by going to breakfast at 5 in the morning only to see that your make up has slided off your face...
this also photographs very well...even though it has SPF in it...it doesn't wash me out...maybe because i bought this in the summer when i was a bit darker..
i apply this on top of my concealer with a Sigma 190.
i didn't like this foundation for everyday use because it made my skin even oilier and didn't look that natural in daytime but for a night time look i love it!!
i like using this concealer during the day too but i always use it when photographs will be taken...
no white panda eyes look with this concealer! conceals dark circles in the most natural way possible
i love, love, love, this product!!!! again another product i use during the evening...
it makes my skin look so fresh and flawless..
its gives you a subtle glow without looking greasy or oily...but doesn't get "cakey" either..
for some reason i think it works better with my Estee Lauder Double Wear than it does with my Mac Studio Fix Fluid!!!
for a day look i prefer something more matte-ifying...
THE EYES:
MAC Eyeshadow in Dazzlelight gives me a gorgeous shimmery pearl sheen..Perfect in the tear duct, over cheekbones, under brow... works great as a highlight...but this month i've been using it swept all over the lid with a tiny bit of Givenchy Shadow Show in No 7 Chic Camel in the crease.. this makes the easiest smoky eye ever..perfect with a winged out eyeliner using MAC Fluidline in Blacktrack and a GOSH Eye Liner Brush Slanted Fine (i prefer this brush to my MAC 266, it's easier to use and is only half the price)...i finish it off with GOSH Eye Liner in Kohl Black in my waterline and 2 coats of L'oreal Voluminous Mascara.
I have been switching up my cheek and lip products but basically this has been my December Nights look...
What was your make up look for the holidays?
